Materials

  • Medium (worsted) weight yarn:
    10 oz medium teal
    9 oz each dark pink, medium yellow and dark lilac
  • Crochet hook size H/8/5mm or size needed for gauge
  • Tapestry needle

Gauge
Each pattern rep = 2 inches; 3 rows = 1 1/2 inches

Pattern Notes
Weave in loose ends as work progresses.

Beginning chain-3 counts as first double crochet throughout.

Work in color sequence of medium teal, dark pink, medium yellow and dark lilac throughout.

Afghan
Row 1: With medium teal, ch 213, dc in 4th ch from hook, dc in each of next 2 chs, [ch 5, sk next 5 chs, dc in each of next 4 chs] across, turn. (24 groups of 4 dc, 23 ch-5 sps)

Row 2: Ch 3, dc in each of next 3 dc, [ch 3, sc over (around) ch-5 of previous row and 5 skipped foundation chs together, ch 3, dc in each of next 4 dc] across, fasten off, turn.

Row 3: Attach next color in sequence, ch 1, sc in each of next 4 dc, [ch 5, sc in each of next 4 dc] across, turn.

Row 4: Ch 3, dc in each of next 3 sc, [ch 5, dc in each of next 4 sc] across, turn.

Rnd 5: Ch 3, dc in each of next 3 dc, [ch 3, sc over (around) 2 ch-5's of 2 previous rows together, ch 3, dc in each of next 4 dc] across, fasten off, turn.

Maintaining color sequence, rep rows 3-5 to complete color sequence 12 times, then with medium teal, rep rows 3-5 once.
