Materials

Red Heart Super Saver medium (worsted) weight yarn (8 oz/452 yds/225g per skein): 3 skeins #358 lavender (A), 4 skeins #316 soft white (B), 1 skein each #320 cornmeal (C) and #389 hunter green (E)
Red Heart Classic medium (worsted) weight yarn (31/2 oz/198 yds/99g per skein): 4 skeins #683 light seafoam (D)
Size G/6/4mm crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge

Gauge
Rnds 1-6 of motif = 7 x 8 inches at widest point
To save time, take time to check gauge.

Special Stitches
For picot: Ch 4, sl st in 4th ch from hook.
For single crochet picot (sc picot): Ch 2, sc around post (see Stitch Guide) of last tr made.
For V-stitch (V-st): (Dc, ch 1, dc) in st or sp indicated.
For joining V-st: (Dc, sl st in ch-1 sp of corresponding V-st on motif indicated, dc) in st indicated on working motif.

First Row
First Motif
Rnd 1 (RS):With C, ch 4, join to form ring, ch 1, [sc in ring, picot (see Special Stitches)] 8 times, join in front lp only of first sc. Fasten off. (8 sc and 8 picots)
Rnd 2:With WS of Rnd 1 facing, attach A in back lp of any sc, working behind picots, ch 3 (counts as first dc of bottom row of petal), 4 dc in same st, turn, ch 3 (counts as first dc of top row of petal), dc in each of next 4 dc, turn, ch 2, *working behind petal just made, 5 dc in back lp of next sc on Rnd 1, turn, ch 3 (counts as dc), dc in each of next 4 dc, turn, ch 2; rep from * 6 times more, join in 3rd ch of beg ch-3. Fasten off. (8 petals)
Note: WS of Rnd 1 now becomes the RS of flower.

First Two Leaves
With RS of flower facing, attach E in front lp of first ch of ch-2 sp behind any flower petal of Rnd 2; working behind petal, ch 4, (tr, sc picot {see Special Stitches}, tr) in front lp of same ch, ch 4, sl st in front lp of same ch, catching lp on upper back of post of 2nd dc made on top row of same petal, ch 4, (tr, sc picot, tr) in front lp of same ch, catching lp on upper back of post of last dc made on first row of same petal, (ch 4, sl st) in front lp of same ch. Fasten off. (2 leaves)

Second Two Leaves
Sk next 3 ch-2 sps of Rnd 2, attach E in front lp of first ch of next ch-2, make 2 leaves as for first 2 leaves in front lp of ch.
Rnd 3: Attach B in ch-2 sp of Rnd 2 behind first flower petal to left of any leaf pair, ch 3 (counts as first dc), 3 dc in same sp, catching lp on upper back of post of 2nd dc made on top row of same petal with 3rd dc, 2 dc in same sp, catching lp on upper back of last dc made on first row of same petal with 2nd dc, [4 dc in next ch-2 sp, catching lp on upper back of post of 2nd dc made on top row of next flower petal with 4th dc, 2 dc in same sp, catching lp on upper back of post of last dc made on first row of same petal with 2nd of these dc] twice, working behind leaves in next ch-2, 3 dc in back lp of same ch where leaves were worked, 3 dc in 2nd ch of ch-2 sp, rep between [ ] 3 times, working behind leaves in next ch-2 sp, 3 dc in back lp of same ch where leaves were worked, 3 dc in 2nd ch of ch-2 sp; join in 3rd ch of beg ch-3. Note: Smooth flower petals evenly, making sure leaves are flat behind flower petals.
Rnd 4: Ch 4 (counts as tr), *dc in each of next 4 sts, hdc in each of next 4 sts, 3 hdc in next st, hdc in each of next 4 sts, dc in each of next 4 sts, tr in each of next 2 sts, tr in next st, catching lp on upper back of first leaf of leaf pair, 3 tr in next st, tr in next st, catching lp on upper back of 2nd leaf of leaf pair**, tr in each of next 2 sts, rep from * once more, ending at **, tr in next st, join in 4th ch of beg ch-4.
